SMC MHL2-20D is a parallel-type, wide-opening air gripper with a 20 mm bore designed for reliable, repeatable handling of small-to-medium parts in automation and assembly cells. This two-finger, double-acting gripper delivers about 74 N of holding force per finger at 0.5 MPa, with a 40 mm gripping point distance to accommodate parts with modest tolerances, and a 20 mm stroke to suit compact, precise grasping. It operates on clean compressed air from 0.1 to 0.6 MPa, requires no lubrication, and is rated for ambient temperatures from -10 to 60 C; a built-in dust-protection mechanism helps extend life in dirty environments. Weighing approximately 1.025 kg, the MHL2-20D supports multiple mounting configurations, with thread options including M5 (10–25 mm) and Rc (32–40 mm). The unit can be equipped with up to two auto switches (or none if no switch is installed), and when switches are present, a 0.5 m lead wire or pre-wired connector is typically provided.
