SMC Corporation MHZ2-20DN Parallel Pneumatic Gripper

SMC MHZ2-20DN is a parallel-type two-finger pneumatic gripper from the MHZ2 series featuring a 20 mm bore and double-acting operation for compact, repeatable part handling. It uses a narrow finger configuration (N) with no auto switches by default, and provides a 10 mm opening/closing stroke with jaw widths of 26.3 mm when open and 16.3 mm when closed. The gripper delivers 66 N internal gripping force and 42 N external gripping force, suitable for small parts within a maximum operating pressure of 0.7 MPa. It incorporates a linear guide to improve rigidity and accuracy and offers dustproof and dripproof construction, with dust cover materials selectable. Pneumatic connections are M5 for both input and exhaust, and the standard mounting aligns with common parallel-type configurations. This standard MHZ2 model emphasizes reliable, space-efficient parallel gripping for applications such as automated pick-and-place, fixture loading, and part transfer in constrained automation cells.
