SMC Corporation MHZ2-25D Parallel Pneumatic Gripper

SMC MHZ2-25D is a two‑finger, parallel‑type air gripper built for compact, repeatable part handling in automation cells. It features a 25 mm bore and a 14 mm opening/closing stroke, with double‑acting actuation. The gripper uses M5 connections for both pneumatic input and exhaust and is designed to operate on clean compressed air from 0.1 to 0.7 MPa, with an ambient temperature range of -10 to 60 C. At 0.5 MPa, each finger delivers up to 43.5 N of gripping force, with external holding force per finger of 65 N and internal holding force per finger of 104 N. The unit offers ±0.01 mm repeatability, weighs 0.420 kg, and is designed lubrication‑free. The standard MHZ2‑25D configuration includes two fingers, standard finger position, and basic body type, and supports a lead wire or pre‑wired connector up to 0.5 m or no switch if chosen; auto‑switch options are available but not included by default. Ideal for picking, placing, and transferring small parts where parallel jaw motion provides stable, repeatable grasps on flat or slightly contoured components.
