SMC NAKM4000 Modular Mist Separator is a modular air-cleaning component that removes oil mist from compressed air before it reaches downstream equipment. As part of SMC’s modular FRL family, it uses a 0.3 μm filtration element to deliver cleaner air for pneumatic cylinders, actuators, and other downstream devices, helping reduce oil carryover and improve performance. The unit features a polycarbonate bowl with a drain cock for condensate removal and a 1/4 in NPT connection, enabling easy integration with other modular air-prep modules to form a compact, scalable train. Key specifications include a 0.3 μm filtration rating, a flow capacity of about 1100 L/min (39 CFM), and a maximum operating pressure of 145 psi (1 MPa) with an operating temperature range from -5 to 60 °C.
