SMC Corporation NAV2000N025DZ Soft Start Solenoid Valve

The SMC NAV2000N025DZ Soft Start Solenoid Valve provides controlled startup for pneumatic systems by gradually pressurizing downstream equipment, reducing actuator movement and system shock during initial pressurization. Part of the NAV2000/AV2000 Series, it also features rapid exhaust for safe servicing and emergency depressurization. The 24 VDC coil drives a valve designed for 0.2 to 1.0 MPa (29–145 psi) supply, with a 1.5 MPa (218 psi) proof pressure and a 1/4 in NPT port, plus a 1/8 in gauge port for monitoring. Electrical connection is via a DIN connector, and an indicator light is included, with an integrated surge suppressor and a power draw of 1.8 W DC. The valve provides an effective flow area of 20 mm² on the supply side and 24 mm² on the exhaust, enabling controlled pressurization and fast exhaust when de-energized. It supports operation from 32°F to 140°F (0°C to 60°C) with filtered compressed air as the media, and it offers a push-type manual override and mounting in any orientation. Its protection features are soft pressurization and emergency exhaust, making it suitable for pneumatic machine safety and controlled startup in automation equipment, packaging machinery, conveyors, and manufacturing systems where gradual pressurization is required.
