SMC MHF2-8DR Miniature Pneumatic Parallel Gripper
SMC MHF2-8DR Miniature Pneumatic Parallel Gripper
Description:
SMC MHF2-8DR is a compact, two‑finger, low‑profile parallel pneumatic gripper built for small‑part handling in tight automation spaces. With an 8 mm bore and an 8 mm opening/closing stroke (short stroke option), it delivers parallel jaw motion in a wafer‑thin package. Each finger exerts about 19 N of gripping force, giving about 19 N internal holding force and 19 N external holding force per finger, while the unit weighs roughly 65 g. The DR suffix denotes a side‑porting, double‑acting design, configured for a 22–102 psi (0.15–0.70 MPa) air supply and M3 x 0.5 port threads. Operating temperature ranges from approximately −10 to 60 °C, making it suitable for light‑duty pick‑and‑place of electronics, optics, small mechanical components, or other miniature parts where precise, parallel grasping is required in compact footprints. As part of the MHF2 family, this gripper shares SMC’s low‑profile form factor and straightforward mounting, enabling quick replacement in constrained automation cells.
