SMC MHK2-16D Pneumatic Wedge Cam Slide Gripper

The SMC MHK2-16D is a compact 16 mm bore wedge-cam slide-guide air gripper (2-finger type) designed for precise, vibration-free gripping in small-part handling tasks. As part of the MHK2 family, it uses a wedge cam mechanism to minimize the overall size and restrain lateral vibration along the stroke once the workpiece is captured, delivering a stable, repeatable grip with high holding force. This long-stroke variant features a 6 mm opening/closing stroke, with a closing width of 14.6 mm and an opening width of 20.6 mm, and it provides an effective gripping force per finger of 31 N on the external grip and 36 N on the internal grip. The model weighs about 113 g and is specified as a long-stroke type in the MHK2 series, suitable for compact pick-and-place, alignment, and part-handling applications where space is at a premium.
