SMC MHZ2-16S Pneumatic Parallel Gripper For Industrial Automation

SMC MHZ2-16S is a 16 mm bore, parallel-type pneumatic gripper built for compact, repeatable part handling in automated lines. This single-acting (normally open) device uses two standard fingers and offers a 6 mm stroke, enabling reliable grasp and release within tight workspace constraints. Each finger delivers about 27 N of gripping force, and the unit weighs 115 g, making it easy to integrate into compact automation cells. The MHZ2-16S supports optional auto switches for sensor integration and is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 7 bar (101 psi). As part of the MHZ2 family, it provides robust parallel closing and precise actuation suited for small-part pick-and-place and assembly tasks in industrial automation environments.
