SMC NCRB50-90 Rotary Actuator

The SMC NCRB50-90 Rotary Actuator is a vane-type pneumatic rotary actuator with a 50 mm bore that provides a precise 90-degree rotation in a compact, air-driven package. Part of the NCRB vane-type rotary actuator family, it operates on compressed air at 0.1 to 1.5 MPa (15 to 220 psi) and is rated for ambient temperatures from 5 to 60 C. The actuator uses Buna N seals and features a double-output drive shaft: one end with a keyed groove, the other end square shaft. Maximum output torque (Emax) is 0.084 Nm, with a radial shaft load rating Fr of 250 N and an axial load rating Fs of 200 N. The NCRB50-90 employs a special vane seal design to minimize leakage and to achieve low start-up torque and long service life. The bore is 50 mm (approximately 2.0 in) in a family that also includes 80 mm and 100 mm bore variants, with 90°, 180°, and 270° rotation options available. The device is intended for compact rotary indexing, clamping, and fixture positioning in automated systems where precise, maintenance-friendly actuation is required.
