SMC VQ4100-5W Solenoid Valve

The SMC VQ4100-5W is a 5-port base-mounted plug-in solenoid valve in the VQ4000 family designed for compact, two-position pneumatic control in automation systems. This low-wattage variant (W) can reduce coil power consumption to about 0.5 W in certain configurations, while standard coil voltages commonly include 12 or 24 VDC depending on the exact model. The valve body supports operating pressures from 0.15 to 1.0 MPa and is suitable for typical factory air supplies, with an ambient operating range of -10 to 50°C. The internals feature an aluminum spool and seals made from HNBR, offering durable performance across cycling conditions, and the unit is available with an optional IP65 enclosure for enhanced dust and water protection. Variants exist with additional protective features (notably the -Q designation) and with different coil configurations, including the ability to plug into SMC base plates or subbase manifolds for easy integration into existing systems. This valve is well-suited to applications such as controlling pilot circuits, actuators, and cylinders in packaging machines, tooling stations, and general manufacturing lines where a compact, low-power, 5-port valve is advantageous.
