Solid Alliance IOM4 iBlU-iOM4 Wide RoF IO Module

The SOLiD ALLIANCE DAS iOM4 Wide RoF IO Module, part number iOM_4, is a four-port optical module engineered for the ALLIANCE DAS headend. It plugs into iBIU, iODU, and iOEU cards to distribute RF signals over fiber to remote units using RoF (Radio over Fiber) technology. The module supports 136–2700 MHz RF channels across its four ports, enabling multi-band coverage for private networks and campus deployments in the sub-6 GHz range. Each port provides an independent optical path, allowing multiple RF channels to be carried concurrently over a single optical fiber link. In four-port operation, SOLiD lists a maximum optical budget of about 5 dB; a single-port variant of the iOM family reportedly delivers a higher budget, up to about 10 dB, offering flexibility for longer fiber runs or tighter link margins. The iOM4 is part of the ALLIANCE Multi-Operator DAS platform, designed to support scalable, neutral-host wireless deployments across venues such as corporate campuses, arenas, and healthcare facilities. By integrating with the iBIU, iODU, and iOEU modules, the iOM4 contributes to a modular, upgradable headend ecosystem that can grow with expanding service needs while maintaining centralized control of RF distribution.
