Sony XCD-X700 Digital Interface Camera
Sony XCD-X700 Digital Interface Camera
Description:
Sony XCD-X700 Digital Interface Camera is a monochrome, 1/2-inch progressive-scan CCD imaging module that delivers uncompressed digital video over the IEEE 1394 (FireWire) interface. It captures 1024 × 768 pixels at up to 15 frames per second, using square pixels for grayscale imagery suited to machine-vision tasks and precision inspection. Power is supplied from an 8–30 VDC source, enabling straightforward integration into industrial enclosures and lab setups. Within Sony’s XCD-X700 line, this model provides the 1024 × 768 at 15 fps output, while its SX900 sibling offers 1280 × 960 at 7.5 fps for higher resolution at a slower frame rate; both are designed for grayscale, high-resolution imaging in machine-vision and scientific applications. The combination of FireWire connectivity and a 1/2-inch sensor provides reliable, low-latency grayscale data transfer for applications such as automated inspection, alignment, and process monitoring in controlled environments.
