Spirent SX-13-DATA Extended T1/E1 Option Channel Simulator is an add-on for Spirent SX Data Link Simulators that expands the SX line with dedicated T1 and E1 channel testing capabilities. Marketed as the SX-13 DATA Extended T1/E1 option, it enables extended T1/E1 channel simulation within SX/13a and SX/14 chassis, including the ability to format T1 frames with signaling as part of the extended T1 frame structures. A standout capability is per-DS0 timing control: the Extended T1/E1 Simulation Option permits assigning any one of 10 definable delays to each timeslot (DS0) in a T1/E1 data stream, enabling precise delay profiles across DS0 channels for realistic carrier-grade test conditions. This makes the module especially suitable for validating telecom equipment that interfaces to T1/E1 networks—such as multiplexers, routers, and test devices—by recreating DS0-level timing, framing, and signaling scenarios on a live link.
