SUNX CX-29-J Photoelectric Sensor
SUNX CX-29-J Photoelectric Sensor
Description:
The SUNX CX-29-J Photoelectric Sensor is a retro-reflective optical switch in the CX-29 family, designed to detect objects by measuring light reflected from a mounted reflector. It uses a red-light source and is configured for reflective sensing with a polarization-filtered mirror arrangement, targeting surfaces within a 0.1–3 m range. The sensor can detect reflective surfaces and materials including translucent or opaque targets with a minimum mirror-diameter around 50 mm, ensuring reliable presence or absence detection on conveyor and packaging lines. It operates from a DC power supply in the 10.8–26.4 V range and provides an NPN open-collector output with a selectable L-ON or D-ON mode via a small switch. Status indicators include a red LED that lights when the output is ON and a green LED that signals stable operation, helping technicians quickly verify sensing conditions in production environments. Mounting is standardized on a 25 mm pitch, and the unit ships with a 2 m cable for straightforward integration into existing control architectures. The CX-29-J designation places it within SUNX’s long-running CX-29 retro-reflective lineup, a compact solution intended for compact sensing tasks where a reflector is used to define the sensing field, offering dependable detection in automated applications.
