SUNX EX-14A Photoelectric Sensor

The SUNX EX-14A Ultra-slim Photoelectric Sensor is a front-sensing convergent reflective (diffused-beam) device designed for compact detection of small parts on tight spaces and conveyors, part of Panasonic’s SUNX EX-series. It detects targets within a 2–25 mm range and uses a light-on, red-emitting beam with an energized red LED indicator when the output is active. The unit is powered from 12–24 V DC, draws about 20 mA, and provides an NPN (sinking) output capable of switching up to 50 mA, with fast response around 0.5 ms. The EX-14A supports detection of opaque, translucent, and transparent objects and offers immunity to sunlight and incandescent lighting, making it suitable for fast, small-part presence checks in automation. A PN version, EX-14A-PN, provides a PNP output for sourcing configurations. Certifications include CE, UKCA, ISO 13849-1 (Cat 1, PLc), and UL Recognized, reflecting industrial-grade readiness for factory floors.
