Description:

The SunX FX-D1 Digital Setting Fiber Optic Sensor is a compact, two-output fiber sensor with a built-in 4-digit LCD that lets you configure sensing parameters directly on the unit for precise control in automated systems. It runs on 12 to 24 V DC and draws about 45 mA, making it a low-power option for inline fiber sensing. The FX-D1 uses a red LED emitter and provides two independent outputs: the FX-D1 version offers two NPN open-collector outputs (sink up to 100 mA per output, up to 30 V DC), while the FX-D1P variant provides two PNP open-collector outputs (source up to 100 mA per output, up to 30 V DC) with low residual voltage (about 1 V at 100 mA for NPN; ~0.4 V at 16 mA for PNP). The device supports multiple teaching methods—two-level teaching, limit teaching, and full auto-teaching—and includes interference prevention to improve stability in noisy environments. The FX-D1 family is documented as discontinued in official catalogs, with a last-time-buy date of September 30, 2005. This combination of digital on-device configuration and dual outputs makes it suitable for discrete object detection and other industrial automation tasks where quick setup and clear feedback are important.
