SUNX FX-D1J Fiber Optic Sensor
SUNX FX-D1J Fiber Optic Sensor
Description:
SunX FX-D1J is a compact digital‑setting fiber‑optic sensor amplifier designed to drive SUNX fiber sensors for reliable presence/absence detection within tight automation spaces. It operates from 12 to 24 V DC (±10% tolerance) with 10% ripple and draws about 45 mA, making it suitable for multi‑sensor panels. The unit provides two outputs (Output 1 and Output 2) that are PNP or NPN open‑collector depending on wiring, each capable of up to 100 mA with a residual voltage of 1 V or less at 100 mA. Output logic can be set to Light‑ON or Dark‑ON via an internal jog switch, and the device includes short‑circuit protection. Response time is selectable across three emission frequencies: 0.65 ms or less (frequency 1), 0.75 ms or less (frequency 2), and 0.5 ms or less (frequency 3), enabling fast sensing on fast‑moving parts. The standard connection uses a 2 m long 4‑core cabtyre cable; for plug‑in connector type, the model ends with J (FX-D1J or FX-D1PJ), and a longer 5 m variant (FX-D1-C5) is available for the NPN type. The FX-D1J is part of SUNX’s FX-D1 family of digital fiber sensors, offering precise, programmable sensing with short‑circuit protection and straightforward configuration for industrial automation tasks.
