Sunx NX5-M10RB Photoelectric Sensor

Sunx NX5-M10RB is the receiver unit of Panasonic’s NX5 compact multi‑voltage thru‑beam photoelectric sensor family. This built‑in‑power‑supply device accepts 12–240 V (AC or DC) and provides a single relay contact output (1C) with dark‑on switching for straightforward signaling in automation lines. It offers a 10 m sensing range for through‑beam operation, detecting opaque targets of at least about 20 mm in diameter when paired with its NX5‑M10RP emitter, and uses a red LED emitter at 660 nm. The receiver’s enclosure, lens, and cover are polycarbonate, and the unit weighs approximately 140 g. Cable leads are 2 m long (cabtyre, 0.3 mm2, 5‑core with emitter using 2 cores) and the emitter/receiver pair can be extended up to 100 m total with suitable cable. Peak power consumption is around 2 VA for the receiver and 1 VA or less for the emitter, with a fast response time of 10 ms or less. The NX5‑M10RB is the receiver component of a thru‑beam pair and includes an adjusting screwdriver; note that the NX5 family was listed as discontinued with last‑time‑buy around September 30, 2025.
