Description:

The Superior Electric SLO-SYN SS2000I Packaged Programmable Motion Control is a two-axis motion controller designed to drive SLO-SYN SS2000D6 and SS2000D12 drives (and compatible with most SLO-SYN drives and many pulse‑and‑direction drives, including digital servo drives), operating one drive at a time for coordinated motion. The SS2000I is an open‑loop controller that can be field upgraded to closed‑loop operation with an optional memory/closed‑loop module, while the SS2000I‑V ships with the closed‑loop module already in place for enhanced positioning accuracy. It provides separate acceleration and deceleration for each axis, supports velocity changes on the fly, and offers breakpoint programming with ramp profiles that include trapezoidal, S‑curve, and hyperbolic ramps, with mark registration accurate to ±1 microstep; pulse outputs reach up to 48 MHz and the unit exposes 16 inputs and 8 outputs with short‑circuit protected I/O, plus a built‑in 24 VDC, 0.75 A power supply for I/O and 400 lines of user program stored in BRAM. Communications include RS‑232 or RS‑485 up to 9600 baud with optional external I/O, and the package is designed to operate from 90–265 VAC, 50/60 Hz with IEC 801‑4 Level III noise immunity, UL Recognized, and CE compliant. The packaged unit measures about 3.0 in x 6.0 in x 11.0 in and weighs roughly 4 lb.
