Description:
The SS2000I Packaged Programmable Motion Controller from Superior Electric (SLO-SYN 2000 series) is a compact, open‑loop (with a closed‑loop variant available as the SS2000I‑V) motion controller designed to drive SLO‑SYN SS2000D6 and SS2000D12 drives as well as most pulse‑and‑direction drives. It supports two axes of motion (one at a time) with separate acceleration and deceleration, and it can modify velocity on the fly while offering breakpoint programming and a choice of trapezoidal, S‑curve, or hyperbolic ramp profiles. Key performance touches include mark registration accurate to ±1 microstep, pulse outputs up to 48 MHz, and a rich I/O suite (16 inputs, 8 outputs) with a built‑in 24 VDC, 0.75 A power supply for I/O. The controller provides 400 lines of user program memory in BRAM, plus a serial port (RS232 or RS485 at up to 9600 baud), up to 2 BCD switch banks, and optional external I/O capability, with IEC 801‑4 Level III noise immunity and UL Recognized/CE compliance. It operates from 90–265 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and when mounted in production environments its package measures about 3.0 in x 6.0 in x 11.0 in and weighs around 4 lb, making it a compact, feature‑rich solution for precision stepper systems.
