Swagelok SS-8C1-10 Poppet Check Valve is a stainless steel fixed-pressure check valve designed for 1/2‑inch line service in high-purity gas and fluid systems. It features a 316 stainless steel body and fluorocarbon (FKM) O-rings, and uses a poppet mechanism to permit flow in one direction while preventing reverse flow, helping protect compressors, regulators, and downstream components from backflow under pressure differentials. The assembly is rated for high-pressure operation, with a room-temperature maximum of 3,000 psig at 100°F (206 bar at 37°C) and specified cracking pressures defined by the model; the SS-8C family includes variants with cracking pressures ranging from about 1 psi upward (example: 1 psi for the 1/2 in. tube-fitting variant). Depending on installation requirements, end connections for this family include tube-fitting as well as male or female NPT options in 1/2 in. size.
