TE Connectivity’s Raychem JBS-100-EP Trace Heating Junction Box is a rugged, single-entry junction designed to feed power to one Raychem heating cable (BTV, QTVR, XTVR, KTV, or VPL) in industrial heat‑tracing applications, with hazardous-location approval for use in demanding environments. The EP variant is intended for armoured cables and includes an earth continuity plate and stud, a stand assembly, core sealer, and sealing components such as a green/yellow tube and an M25 stopping plug, delivering an integrated, front‑access installation. Its footprint measures about 122 mm by 120 mm by 90 mm and it supports up to 100 mm of pipe insulation, with an operating temperature range of −50 to +40 C, making it suitable for outdoor or exposed settings. Key practical features include front‑access and captive lid screws, robust spring‑type terminals, and a cold‑applied installation process (no heat gun or hot work permit required), complemented by a Raychem core‑sealing boot with non‑curing sealant. Note that JBS‑100‑EP is not intended for 480 V VPL systems, but remains a certified component within hazardous location heat‑tracing installations.
