Teel 1P690A Suction Strainer Steel

The Teel 1P690A Suction Strainer guards centrifugal pump inlets by stopping large debris, sediment, and solids from entering the pump, protecting the impeller and extending service life. Built for a 2-inch suction connection, this steel strainer has a zinc-plated finish, a 6-inch overall diameter and 4.5-inch height, with a 3/8-inch round opening on the side and 2-inch FNPT, NPT female threads for easy installation. It is compatible with Dayton and Teel pumps and is designed for use on portable water pumps, dewatering pumps, irrigation systems, construction pumps, and other industrial fluid transfer equipment where coarse filtration is required to prevent clogging or impeller damage. Its function is to block sediment, mud, sewage solids, and other debris from entering the pump suction port, making it suitable for water transfer, irrigation, wastewater handling, flood control, and general industrial pumping applications. The 3/8-inch openings provide coarse filtration while maintaining adequate flow for typical suction lines.
