Tektronix TB53AN Dual Time Base Main Triggering Amplifier Plug-In Module
Tektronix TB53AN Dual Time Base Main Triggering Amplifier Plug-In Module
Description:
The Tektronix 7B53AN (TB53AN) Dual Time Base Main Triggering Amplifier Plug-In Module for Tektronix 7000 Series modular oscilloscopes provides dual time-base sweep generation and precision triggering in a single horizontal plug-in, enabling a main sweep and a delayed sweep with advanced triggering for high-speed waveform analysis and troubleshooting. Commonly installed in Tektronix 7000 mainframes, it supports dual time-base operation with main sweep range from 50 ns/div to 5 s/div (1-2-5 sequence) and a ×10 sweep magnification that yields an effective minimum sweep rate of 5 ns/div. Triggering features include Auto, Normal, and Single Sweep modes; coupling options AC, DC, LF Reject, and HF Reject; sources Internal, External, and Line; and selectable positive or negative slope. The external trigger input presents approximately 1 MΩ input impedance in parallel with ~20 pF, and the module supports a maximum trigger frequency up to 100 MHz (model dependent). Display options cover Main Sweep, Delayed Sweep, Mixed Sweep, Delayed Triggering, and Sweep Magnification, reflecting its use in oscilloscope timing analysis, delayed sweep measurements, pulse timing, and frequency assessment. Installation is in the horizontal plug-in bay of Tektronix 7000 Series oscilloscopes, and it serves as a common replacement for older assemblies such as Tektronix 7B53A, 7B80, and 7B92A.
