Tektronix TDS460A Digital Storage Oscilloscope
Tektronix TDS460A Digital Storage Oscilloscope
Description:
The Tektronix TDS460A Digital Storage Oscilloscope combines 400 MHz analog bandwidth with 4 channels for high-speed waveform acquisition and precise signal analysis in labs, manufacturing floors, and field service scenarios. It captures up to 100 MS/s per channel with up to 30,000 points per channel (120,000 points optional), and records with an 8-bit vertical resolution (up to 12 bits in Hi-Res mode), selectable from 1 mV/div to 10 V/div. Its time base spans 1 ns/div to 20 s/div and offers a rise time of about 1.75 ns, enabling detailed study of fast edges and transients. The instrument includes 25 built-in automatic measurements, a robust trigger set (Edge, Pulse, Video for NTSC/PAL/SECAM, Peak Detect, Triggered Roll, Roll, Pass/Fail), and waveform processing options (Waveform Math, Hi-Res, Peak Detect; FFT optional). Communication and control are supported via GPIB, RS-232, Centronics, and VGA video output, while on-board storage uses a 3.5-inch DOS-compatible floppy disk drive. Common applications include embedded system debugging, power electronics testing, telecommunications analysis, digital circuit design, video signal analysis, and manufacturing verification; maintenance technicians, calibration engineers, and system integrators rely on its capabilities for diagnostics and product verification.
