Telco SMP-7600-TP-J Diffuse Proximity Sensor

The TELCO SMP-7600-TP-J Diffuse Proximity Sensor delivers non-contact object detection for conveyor systems, packaging machines, and other short-range tasks in industrial automation, with an adjustable sensing range up to 0.5 m. As part of TELCO Sensors’ SpaceMaster SM 7000 series, it uses infrared diffuse proximity sensing (880 nm) and supports 10–30 VDC supply, with selectable NPN/PNP outputs and Normally Open/Normally Closed configurations, widely used in packaging machinery, conveyor automation, and warehouse logistics. Key controls include a sensitivity potentiometer and a light/dark switch, delivering a 2 ms ON / 2 ms OFF response time, 250 Hz switching frequency, and a maximum load of 120 mA at 30 VDC with 20 mA current consumption. It is housed in an M18 × 1 threaded polycarbonate barrel with a 4-pin M12 connector, IP67-rated, operating from -20°C to +60°C, and features reverse polarity and short-circuit protection; common replacements include SMP-7600-TS-J, SMP-7600-TP-5, and SMP-7601-TS-J.
