Telemecanique SMP-8800 3-PG-5 Photoelectric Sensor

Telco Sensors SMP-8800 3-PG-5 is a diffuse IR photoelectric sensor in the SpaceMaster SM 8000 series that provides non-contact object detection for industrial automation, ideal for conveyors, packaging lines, and assembly processes. It uses an infrared light source at 880 nm with a 0.5 m sensing range and comes in an M18 × 1 threaded polycarbonate housing with a 5 m cable, rated IP67 and operating from -20 °C to +60 °C. The 2-wire SCR output offers a selectable normally open or normally closed configuration, driven by a 20–250 V AC supply, and is adjustable via a sensitivity potentiometer and a light/dark switch, with a maximum load of 200 mA and a 25 ms ON / 25 ms OFF response. As an OEM direct replacement, it is commonly used for equipment replacement, automation retrofits, system expansion, and preventive maintenance in factory automation and material handling environments.
