Telemecanique XB2BS542 Emergency Stop Push Button
Description:
The Telemecanique XB2BS542 Emergency Stop Push Button is a 22 mm panel-mount device with a 40 mm red mushroom head and turn-to-release operation, designed to provide a manual emergency stopping function for industrial machinery and automation systems. It offers a latching function that immediately interrupts machine operation until the mushroom head is turned to reset, using a 1 NC contact with slow-break (positive opening) operation. Built for rugged industrial use, it features screw clamp terminals, a chromium-plated bezel, and a rated insulation voltage of 600 V with IP40 protection and 300,000 mechanical operating cycles. Typical applications include control panels, conveyor systems, packaging machinery, machine tools, and production equipment where a reliable emergency stop device is required for personnel and equipment safety. The XB2BS542 is part of the Harmony XB2 family from Telemecanique (Schneider Electric) and, note that this model has been discontinued and superseded by the Harmony XB4 series, commonly used in machine safety, process automation equipment, and OEM machinery requiring manual emergency stopping of industrial machinery.
