The Timken Company 415697 Radial Shaft Oil Seal

The Timken National 415697 is a Type 41 dual-lip radial shaft oil seal designed to retain lubricant and prevent contaminants from entering bearing assemblies in heavy-duty industrial gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, conveyors, and compressors. It uses a steel case with an inner case and a dual-lip seal configuration with one spring, molded in nitrile (NBR) lip material, and is sized for a 3.875 in shaft diameter (98.425 mm) with an outside diameter of 5.131 in (130.327 mm), housing bore 5.125 in (130.175 mm), and an overall width of 0.500 in (12.700 mm). The seal features Redi-Coat, a maximum shaft surface speed of 3000 ft/min, and a 7 psi pressure rating, operating from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C). It is part of the Timken National 410000 series (MPN 415697) and is commonly replaced by SKF 38713, CR 415697, or National 415697.
