The Timken Company 416500 Radial Shaft Oil Seal

The Timken National 416500 oil seal is a radial shaft seal designed to retain lubricant and prevent contaminants from entering bearing assemblies in industrial gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, conveyors, compressors, and other heavy‑duty machinery. It uses a Type 41 multi‑lip nitrile construction with a spring and a steel case, featuring a nitrile (NBR) lip material, a shaft diameter of 2.937 in (74.600 mm), an outside diameter of 3.942 in (100.127 mm), a housing bore of 3.937 in (100.000 mm), and an overall width of 0.500 in (12.700 mm). Redi‑Coat is included to ease installation, and it is rated for up to 3000 ft/min shaft speed with misalignment tolerance of 0.015 in at 800 rpm and 0.010 in at 4200 rpm, operating from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C).
