The Timken Company 416891 Oil Seal

The Timken National 416891 oil seal is a radial shaft seal designed to retain lubricants and prevent contaminants from entering rotating equipment in general-purpose industrial machinery such as gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and electric motors. It features a Type 41, multi-lip with spring configuration and a nitrile (NBR) sealing element to minimize lubricant leakage while excluding dirt, dust, and moisture. The seal fits a 4.250 in (107.95 mm) shaft and has an outside diameter of 5.506 in (139.852 mm), a housing bore of 5.500 in (139.700 mm), and an overall width of 0.500 in (12.700 mm); it uses a steel case with an inner case and is Redi-Coat ready. Maximum shaft surface speed is 3000 ft/min, with misalignment tolerance of 0.015 in at 800 rpm and 0.010 in at 4200 rpm. The operating temperature range is -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C).
