The Timken Company 42763 radial shaft oil seal is a springless single-lip seal designed to retain grease and prevent contaminants from entering rotating equipment. Commonly used in wheel hubs, agricultural equipment, trailers, and industrial machinery, its Type 4S construction provides dependable sealing performance to help extend bearing life. This solid steel‑cased seal uses a nitrile (NBR) lip and measures a 1.375 in (34.925 mm) shaft diameter, 2.286 in (58.064 mm) outside diameter, 2.282 in (57.963 mm) housing bore, and 0.250 in (6.350 mm) overall width, with a maximum shaft surface speed of 2000 ft/min and a misalignment tolerance of 0.005 in. It operates from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C) and is intended for general‑purpose grease retention in rotating assemblies such as wheel bearings, hubs, and axles.
