The Timken Company 471652V Fluoroelastomer Oil Seal

The Timken National Oil Seal 471652V features a double-lip with spring design and a fluoroelastomer (FKM/Viton®) sealing lip for high-temperature lubricant retention and contaminant exclusion in rotating shaft systems. This oil seal, part of Timken’s 470000 series, uses a steel case without an inner case and Redi-Coat, with a shaft ID of 1.125 in (28.575 mm), outside diameter of 1.628 in (41.351 mm), housing bore of 1.624 in (41.250 mm), and overall width of 0.250 in (6.350 mm). It is rated for continuous operation from -40°F to 400°F (-40°C to 204°C) and a maximum shaft surface speed of 3000 ft/min, making it suitable for general-purpose rotating equipment, industrial gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, conveyors, chemical processing equipment, and high-temperature power transmission systems. Common replacements include SKF equivalent FKM oil seal, CR (Chicago Rawhide) equivalent oil seal, and National 470000 Series Viton oil seal.
