The Timken National Oil Seal 471984 is a double-lip, spring-equipped radial oil seal in a steel case designed to retain lubricants while preventing dirt, moisture, and other contaminants from entering rotating shaft systems. Its nitrile (NBR) lips in an inch-size package fit a 1.750 in shaft diameter (44.45 mm), 3.005 in outside diameter (76.33 mm), 3.000 in housing bore (76.20 mm), and 0.375 in overall width (9.525 mm), with Redi-Coat specified. It is rated for up to 3000 ft/min shaft surface speed, 7 psi operating pressure, and misalignment tolerance of 0.015 in at 800 rpm or 0.010 in at 4200 rpm, operating from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C).
