The Timken Company 99172 Redi-Sleeve Shaft Repair Sleeve

The Timken National Redi-Sleeve 99172 is a precision-thin-wall stainless steel shaft repair sleeve that restores worn, grooved, or damaged sealing surfaces without shaft replacement or machining. Installed directly over the existing shaft, it provides a hardened, wear- and corrosion-resistant sealing surface designed for standard radial shaft oil seals on shafts in the 1.747–1.753 in (nominal 1.750 in) diameter range. This Redi-Sleeve, part of the Redi-Sleeve 99000 Series, features a flange outside diameter of 2.055 in, a seal-running width of 0.375 in, an overall width of 0.500 in, and an installation depth of 0.813 in, with a precision ground surface finish of 10–20 µin Ra and a lead-free composition. It is commonly used in industrial gearboxes, pumps, compressors, electric motors, conveyors, agricultural equipment, wheel hubs, and other rotating machinery to extend seal life and reduce maintenance downtime. Common replacements include SKF Speedi-Sleeve 99172 and National Redi-Sleeve 99172 equivalents.
