Thomas & Betts ATS20 Autoset Auto Tension Splice

Thomas & Betts Blackburn ATS20 Autoset Automatic Tension Splice is a rugged aluminum splice designed for ASCR, AAAC, and AAC conductors used in overhead installations. It accepts ASCR conductors 2/0 through 7/1, with 2/0 AAAC and 2/0 AAC variants, in a 16-1/4 inch assembly; color-coded end pieces designate the maximum conductor size (2/0 is gray) and color-coded tape helps prevent sizing errors. The design features a funnel-shaped entry, a pilot cap that guides strands past serrated jaws into the center of the splice, die-cast jaws for a wide contact area, and a compression spring that positions the jaw for positive conductor acceptance. A tubular high-strength aluminum alloy housing provides corrosion protection and long-lasting durability, while a tubular center stop automatically determines the proper insertion length for both conductors. RoHS compliant, the ATS20 ships in inner packs of 25 and weighs 6.25 pounds per 100 splices.
