The Thomas & Betts Ocal® LB448-4X-G PVC-Coated Conduit Body is used to provide a protected access point for pulling, splicing, and maintaining conductors in rigid conduit systems. Commonly installed in chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine environments, power generation plants, and other corrosive industrial locations where superior environmental protection is required. Applications:

The Thomas & Betts Ocal® LB448-4X-G is part of the Form 8 Series and features a heavy-duty cast iron body with OCAL-BLUE® double corrosion protection. The conduit body is coated internally with 0.002-inch blue urethane and externally with a minimum 0.040-inch PVC coating for outstanding resistance to moisture, chemicals, and corrosive environments. It includes a PVC-coated cast iron cover with an integral O-ring seal and stainless steel encapsulated screws, providing a UL Type 4X and NEMA 4X watertight enclosure. It is ideal for conduit runs requiring 90-degree direction changes, conductor pulling access, branch taps, and future maintenance in harsh industrial environments.
