The Tillman 56436 ArcDefender® Silica Heavy Duty Welding Blanket Roll provides reliable high-temperature protection for personnel and equipment in welding, plasma cutting, and heat-processing operations. Manufactured from 18 oz bronze silica fabric (Manufacturer Part Number: 56436), this heat-treated woven blanket resists sparks, spatter, slag, and molten metal and arrives as a 36 in. wide by 50 yd roll with a thickness of 0.03 in. It supports both vertical and horizontal protection and carries FM 4950 approval along with NFPA 701 compliance. The blanket is rated for a working temperature of 1,650°F (899°C) and has a melting point near 2,700°F (1,482°C). Its bronze silica construction makes it suitable as a durable barrier in welding booths, fabrication facilities, shipyards, steel mills, refineries, power plants, and construction sites, as well as industrial maintenance environments where high-temperature protection is essential.
