Times Microwave Systems LP-BTR-NMP Surge Protector

The Times Microwave LP-BTR-NMP is a gas-tube RF surge protector with a DC-blocked protection circuit that shields RF communication equipment from lightning-induced surges while preserving signal integrity across 20–1000 MHz. It uses an N-type female (surge side) to N-type male (protected side) configuration with 50 Ω impedance, VSWR <1.1:1, insertion loss <0.1 dB, turn-on voltage 600 V ±20% and turn-on time 2.5 ns, and supports up to 10 kA (8/20 μs) of surge current; power handling is 375 W (20–220 MHz), 125 W (220–700 MHz), and 50 W (700–1000 MHz). Constructed with a brass body plated in white bronze and a PTFE insulator, it operates from -40°C to +50°C (storage -40°C to +85°C) and weighs 0.25 kg, and is commonly deployed in base stations, cellular networks, public safety radio systems, broadcast networks, SCADA, and other antenna installations for reliable lightning protection and low insertion loss, with common replacements including LP-BTR-NFF, LP-BTR-NMS, and LP-BTRW-NMP.
