Trane BAYLOAM103 Head Pressure Low Ambient Kit

The Trane BAYLOAM103 head pressure low ambient kit is an OEM control solution that maintains refrigerant head pressure during cooling operation in low outdoor temperatures by cycling the condenser fan under electronic control. Designed for Trane and American Standard split-system air conditioners and heat pumps, this field-installed kit includes a controller module, liquid line temperature sensor, outdoor air temperature sensor, low-voltage wiring harness, sensor clamp, thermal grease, insulation tape, information label, mounting hardware, and an installation guide. This kit regulates condenser fan operation based on liquid line and outdoor air temperatures to sustain proper head pressure, enabling reliable compressor operation and protection of the refrigeration system in low ambient cooling applications such as data centers, server rooms, telecommunications rooms, medical facilities, and year-round cooling in commercial buildings. Compatibility is model-dependent, and the recommended equipment includes systems equipped with a compressor crankcase heater and non-bleed TXV; common replacements include BAYLOAM107 and FIALOAM001/FIALOAM002.
