Trans-Coil Inc. KLC8AE Output Filter

The Trans-Coil KLC8AE Output Filter is a 3‑phase dv/dt output filter rated for 600 VAC and 8 A, designed for variable frequency drive systems to suppress motor voltage spikes, minimize reflected-wave effects, and reduce high‑frequency electrical noise, thereby protecting AC motors and extending insulation life. Part of the KLC Series, it features an open enclosure, UL and cUL listings, 600 V class insulation, and Class H insulation rated 180°C or better, with efficiency greater than 98%. It supports long motor lead lengths—up to 3,000 ft (application dependent)—and is suitable for installations in VFD panels, conveyors, pumps, fans, compressors, HVAC systems, and other industrial automation equipment operating on 50/60 Hz. Common replacements include TCI V1K8A00, MTE SineWave Guardian Filter, and Schaffner FN 5040 Motor Output Filter.
