Description:

The Transducer Techniques SLB-100 is a 100 lbf subminiature button compression load cell designed for precision force measurement in installations with limited space. Its compact load-button design features a slightly convex loading surface for accurate force distribution and is built from heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance. The sensing element uses bonded foil strain gauges, and the unit is environmentally sealed for stability in demanding industrial environments. It provides a nominal output of 2 mV/V at full scale with a recommended excitation of 10 VDC, and its performance specs include nonlinearity ±0.25% of rated output, hysteresis ±0.25%, non-repeatability ±0.10%, and zero balance ±2.0%. Input/terminal resistance is 350 Ω nominal, with a safe overload of 150% of rated capacity and a full-scale deflection of 0.002 in. The SLB-100 is compensated for 60°F to 160°F (16°C to 71°C) and operates from -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C). Calibration is compression-only (tension calibration optional). Common applications include material testing, product testing, medical devices, robotics, precision assembly equipment, and OEM machinery, where it converts compressive force into a proportional millivolt signal for monitoring and control systems. Compatible with force indicators, signal conditioners, PLCs, data acquisition systems, and other industrial test equipment.
