Tri-Tronics MDIC Photoelectric Sensor
Tri-Tronics MDIC Photoelectric Sensor
Description:
The TRI-TRONICS MDIC MITY-EYE Photoelectric Sensor is a compact, non-contact detector used in industrial automation to sense the presence or absence of parts without physical contact, commonly installed on packaging equipment, conveyors, and material handling systems. It uses an infrared LED light source at 880 nm, features interchangeable optical blocks and the compact MITY-EYE design for dependable non-contact sensing, and supports applications such as part detection, product counting, positioning, and conveyor monitoring in demanding industrial environments. Electrical specs include a 10–30 VDC supply, NPN and PNP open-collector outputs up to 150 mA, a 500 µs response time, and a 4-turn clutched potentiometer with a light/dark selector, plus a connector version with M12 pigtail. The enclosure carries IP67 protection with corresponding NEMA 4X and 6P ratings, operates from -20°C to +70°C, and is compatible with common replacements MDICF4, MDICO5, and MDIV4.
