Turck BI15-CP40-FZ3X2 S100 Inductive Proximity Sensor

The Turck BI15-CP40-FZ3X2 S100 Inductive Proximity Sensor is a shielded inductive sensor in the CP40 Combiprox housing designed for non-contact detection of metal objects in demanding industrial automation environments. It features a 15 mm sensing distance, adjustable active face orientation in 9 positions, and a programmable normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) output in a 2-wire AC/DC configuration. The unit operates from 20-250 VAC or 10-300 VDC and can switch 3-400 mA at up to 20 Hz, with a flush-mount rectangular housing measuring 114 x 40 x 40 mm made from PBT-GF30-V0 reinforced plastic and IP67 protection. It includes high-luminance corner LEDs for status indication and is offered in a High Temperature Version with the adjustable sensing face, capable of operating from -25°C to +100°C. The BI15-CP40-FZ3X2 S100 is intended for metal object detection and machine position sensing across conveyor systems, heat treatment equipment, packaging machinery, and drying ovens, as well as other PLC-controlled automated production setups, including part presence checks, end-of-travel monitoring, machine positioning, and product verification.
