Turck Bi15U-CP40-FDZ30X2-S10 Inductive Proximity Sensor

The Turck BI15U-CP40-FDZ30X2-S10 Inductive Proximity Sensor uses Turck’s uprox® Factor 1 technology to provide identical sensing distances for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, enabling non-contact metal object detection and machine position sensing in industrial automation. It is a shielded inductive sensor with a 15 mm sensing distance and a Programmable Normally Open (NO) / Normally Closed (NC) output in a 2-Wire AC/DC configuration, supporting 20-250 VAC or 10-300 VDC supply and a switching current of 3-400 mA at up to 20 Hz. The CP40 housing measures 114 × 40 × 40 mm and is made of PBT-GF30-V0 reinforced plastic; the S10 version adds a 1/2-14 NPT mounting base and allows the active face orientation to be adjusted in 9 positions for flush mounting. It is rated IP67 and operates from -25°C to +70°C, with high-luminance corner LEDs for status indication. Common applications include part presence detection, end-of-travel monitoring, machine positioning, valve feedback, and product verification in PLC-controlled conveyors, packaging lines, transfer systems, and automation equipment requiring universal AC/DC operation and equal sensing distance across metals.
