Turck BI5-G18-AP6X Inductive Proximity Sensor

The Turck BI5-G18-AP6X is a 50 mm extended-barrel inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of metallic targets in industrial automation. It delivers a 5 mm sensing distance with a 3-wire PNP normally open output and a 10–30 VDC supply, supporting up to 200 mA switching current at a maximum switching frequency of 0.5 kHz, and it arrives with an integral cable and a chrome-plated brass housing (M18 x 1) in a flush-mount configuration. The extended 50 mm barrel provides added mounting flexibility for deep or restricted installations, while the IP67 enclosure and operating temperature range of -25°C to +70°C suit packaging equipment, conveyors, assembly stations, machine tools, and other manufacturing machinery where reliable position sensing and metal object detection are required for PLC-controlled processes. It also features reverse polarity protection, short-circuit protection, and LED switching indication for quick status verification.
