Turck BI5-S18-AZ3X Inductive Proximity Switch

The Turck BI5-S18-AZ3X is a compact M18-threaded inductive proximity switch from Turck that delivers non-contact metal target detection for part presence sensing in automated equipment. With a 5 mm sensing distance, normally open 2-wire output, it switches on a supply of 20–250 VAC or 10–300 VDC and draws up to 400 mA AC (300 mA DC) at a 20 Hz switching frequency. The flush-mount, cable-connected sensor sits in a chrome-plated brass housing and is IP67 rated, able to endure harsh industrial environments across -25°C to +70°C. This BI Series device supports part presence verification, machine positioning, end-of-travel monitoring, and conveyor sequencing in bottling lines, packaging machinery, robotic assembly cells, palletizing systems, and other manufacturing setups that require reliable metal object detection. It complies with CE, IEC, and RoHS standards.
