Turck BIM-IKM-AZ3X2-B3131 Inductive Proximity Sensor

The Turck BIM-IKM-AZ3X2-B3131 magnetic field sensor provides non-contact pneumatic cylinder position sensing with magnetic-inductive sensing, and it sits in Turck’s Perma Prox BIM Series. It detects piston magnets through aluminum cylinder walls for wear-free cylinder position feedback in tie-rod and profile cylinders, pneumatic actuators, and automated handling equipment used in packaging, assembly, and material handling, supporting pneumatic cylinder piston position detection and automation feedback systems. The device uses a 2-wire Normally Open (NO) output, with a voltage rating of 20-250 VAC and a maximum current of 500 mA, and it switches at up to 20 Hz. It mounts to cylinders (cylinder mount) and employs a 1/2"-20 UNF Microfast connector, housed in a compact 34 x 17 x 34 mm GD-Zn metal enclosure with a PA12-GF30 active face. Rated IP67 and operating from -25°C to +70°C, it is CE compliant and features LED status indication for quick diagnostics, along with proven shock and vibration resistance in harsh industrial environments.
