Turck BL20-SWIRE-DIL Entry Module

The TURCK BL20-SWIRE-DIL Entry Module is a SmartWire-DT interface that links the BL20 modular I/O platform to Eaton DIL motor starters and contactors, enabling decentralized motor control across conveyors, packaging machinery, and process automation equipment. Powered by 24 VDC with an operating current of 0.5 A, it uses screw terminals compatible with 22-16 AWG wiring and mounts on a DIN rail via BL20 base modules. It supports up to 16 non-reversing motor starters per SWIRE slice; reversing starters count as two non-reversing. Connection to the backplane is through the BL20 modular backplane interface; the unit is IP20 protected and operates from 0°C to +55°C. Approved for CE, cULus, Class I Division 2. Compatible Eaton DILM7, DILM9, DILM12, DILM15, DILM25, and DILM32 contactors and motor starters. Special features include a hot-swappable design, reduced control wiring, fieldbus-independent operation, modular architecture, and support for distributed motor control topologies. Applications include distributed motor starter and contactor control in motor control centers, conveyor lines, packaging machines, assembly lines, and other industrial automation environments where direct communication with SmartWire-DT is required.
