Turck FDN-DN1 Spanner Module

The TURCK FDN-DN1 Spanner Module is a DeviceNet bridge that enables direct, bidirectional real-time data mirroring between two DeviceNet networks or PLC controllers without a higher-level gateway. Operating from 11–30 VDC, it draws <125 mA on segment A and <30 mA on segment B, and supports up to 128 bytes of cyclic data exchange with selectable communication speeds of 125, 250, or 500 kbps. The unit provides optical isolation between network segments and is housed in glass-fiber reinforced PA6-GF30, rated IP67 for harsh industrial environments. Panel-mountable with a 4-hole pattern, it tolerates -40 °C to +70 °C ambient temperatures. Functionally, it enables bidirectional, real-time I/O data mirroring between DeviceNet networks, making it suitable for automotive assembly lines, packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and other distributed control configurations that require synchronized inter-network communication.
